Message : Wrong Direction

Original
I was waiting for my friend.

New Message
My friend just arrived at Indah Permai, he contacted me using his phone.

My friend : ''Eh, where is your house? I'm here already''.

I gave him the most simplest direction.

Me : '' Ah hello, from the bus stop go straight, turn right until you reach the second junction. I'll be there waiting.

My friend : '' Ow okay, alright.

My friend walked slowly to meet me, as he always do. I waited for him for ages till suddenly my phone rang "Kring...Kring...'' It was my friend whom I was waiting for all this time.

My friend : '' Eh, where are you again?''

Me : '' Ugh,Just stay where you are!''

Thus, I went on to meet him and found out he went left instead of right.

Reflection

In this activity, we were asked to find words in old newspapers but with limited amount of time for each words. So, our team which consist of 5 guys including myself were only able to find 6 words out of 10. The activity was exciting and it really challenged our ability to observe words but mostly it was all about the fun of it, though at times we were frustrated because we perused through the entire newspaper without finding any words relating to the word choice for this activity.
After the activity, we were asked to create a topic sentence regarding the importance of preserving our seas using the words that we are able to find. This is where our writing skills were put to the test and it seems we still have a long way to go before we could call ourselves ' good writers', but as long as we are improving then its okay to make a couple of mistakes.
Throughout this activity, I've learned to create a decent topic sentence and also it allows me to bare in mind that the use of activities when teaching writing could spark the students interest towards writing and the class itself.
Hence, as students becoming teachers, we should take note or be aware of students interest when teaching writing in class.
